1 Corinthians 2:12-3:3

¹² Now ^(A)we have received not ^(B)the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. ¹³ And we impart this ^(C)in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, ^(D)interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.^[a]

¹⁴ The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are ^(E)folly to him, and ^(F)he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ The ^(G)spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. ^16 (H)“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But ^(I)we have the mind of Christ.

Divisions in the Church

3 But I, brothers,^[b] could not address you as ^(J)spiritual people, but as ^(K)people of the flesh, as ^(L)infants in Christ. ^2 (M)I fed you with milk, not solid food, for ^(N)you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, ³ for you are still of the flesh. For while there is ^(O)jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?
